Toolkit Framework - Leadership

Developmental collaboration models are helpful in terms of providing an organizational and conceptual framework. Leadership practices1 and change management2 models will be incorporated into the Curriculum Commons Toolkit and the work plan for the second year of the project.

The Vice Presidents, Academic (governance); the Deans (management); and the Chairs (operations) will play a pivotal leadership role in the second year of the project. Their leadership role can be summarized as follows3:

  • Understanding the value of collaboration for the institution

  • Acting as project champion/advocate

  • Advocating funding priority

  • Promoting incentives, rewards, release time

  • Networking

  • Communicating efforts campus-wide
