Research and Development Overview
The Curriculum Commons two-year project was funded by Alberta Advanced Education and Technology’s Access to the Future Innovation Fund. The project proposal envisioned the first year (Phase One) of the project as research and development of the model, and the second year as a field test and evaluation of the model.
Six research questions were posed and a methodology developed. During the first year of the project, a consultant conducted two activities: literature review and stakeholder interviews. The purpose of these activities was to inform the development of the Curriculum Commons Model. The consultant submitted a Phase One Report to the Curriculum Commons Steering Committee at the end of year one.
