Methodology
The Curriculum Commons Project was conducted in two phases.
- Phase One, September 2008–June 2009: Identify best practice research and the subsequent design of a made-in-Alberta Curriculum Commons Model which includes implementation tools.
- Phase Two, September 2009–June 2010: Testing and evaluation of the model and tools followed by dissemination of the results.
The project was to develop a common curriculum model and toolkit that could be field tested using the Practical Nurse program curriculum. The model would be informed by the results of a literature review and stakeholder consultations.
